One who hears the names and merits of these fifty-three Buddhas shall avoid falling into evil realms for countless eons. Those who recite their names will see Buddhas lifetime after lifetime. If one bows before them, then even the five gravest offenses, the ten evil acts, the four heavy karmic transgressions, and the eight abandonments will be entirely eradicated. Past Buddhas, present Buddhas, and future Buddhas all achieved awakening by reciting, revering, and worshipping these fifty-three Buddhas early in their practice.
