Boneling is a cat with a backbone. It never eats food given by humans. It hunts mice on rooftops and fishes in streams. Boneling always finds a way to feed itself. But it wasn't always this way. Once, it rubbed its little head against passing legs just to earn a bite. Then came the day a fat cat snatched the food it had begged for. Not long after, that fat cat lay down and never got up again. Boneling was scared. From that day on, it has trusted no one but itself.
