The Twin Lions are survivors of the Da'an Zheng Clan Rebellion.
Back then, Chang Xi was seventeen years old, and Chang Le was just six. The two brothers watched helplessly as their home turned into a river of blood, their kin and friends all slaughtered by marauding bandits. It was then they first realized that in this chaotic world, kindness was but a hollow, powerless thing. In despair, Chang Xi fled with his unconscious younger brother in his arms, only to collapse from exhaustion and fall into a river. Kun the Youngest, one of the Six Fiends of Ghost Street, happened to be there and, moved by a rare moment of pity, saved their lives. When Chang Le awoke the next day, he remembered nothing of the horrors they had endured. Chang Xi never spoke of it again. He knew too well the cruelty of the world, a cruelty he could not hope to defy. And he knew the depth of his blood debt, a debt he had no power yet to repay. So, he swallowed his grief and rage, and became a member of the Twin Lions under Kun the Youngest, performing across the land under the guise of festival tours while secretly gathering intelligence for his benefactor. All the while, he waited. Biding his time for the right moment.
He vowed that one day he would demand back all that was taken from him. Even if, in doing so, he had to become part of the evil he despised.
