An ancient incense burner, the most popular incense tool in the Han Dynasty. Its shape featured a circular bronze plate base with a copper handle in the middle to support the furnace body, which could be adjusted for height. The furnace body was semicircular, and the lid was shaped like overlapping mountain peaks, with figures such as feathered immortals and beasts inside, forming a cone. When incense was burned inside, smoke drifted out, curling around like Boshan, a mythical immortal mountain in the sea, hence the name Boshan Incense Burner.
