Trey wasn't as strong as his older brother, nor as cute as his little sister. He was the middle child, like a wild blade of grass by the rice paddy, unremarkable, but lives a life of transcent and leisure. Because of his low presence, he learned to live quietly and contentedly from a young age. The food Mama brought? Didn't need the best cuts, just enough to fill the belly. A cozy nest? Any place to lie down would do. Great ambitions? Living safely, simply, and peacefully. The world bustles. Humans come and go, cats weave in and out. He slips among them all, unseen and undisturbed. Isn't that its own kind of freedom?
