There is little in the reed marsh but reeds, and reeds without end. Reeds are strong and supple; in skillful hands, they can be woven into anything. Luhua is happy, for today she has made another new friend. This new friend taught her new words and sang her new songs; but soon, that friend too must leave the reed marsh alone... So Luhua fashioned a tiny figure to keep you company on your journey. For they say those drifting afar may ride upon the reed-plumes to find their way home once more.
