During the Khitan battle, Zhu Yousheng led unlettered youths, defenseless and adrift. In desperation, he adapted Ghost Valley Martial Arts, blending the Five Animal Poses and Seven Street Plays into the Nine Mortal Ways. He saw common folk as seeds adrift, weightless yet resilient, carried by fate. Thus was born the Mortal Rope Dart: a weapon born from ordinary roots, weaving through the dust and currents of the mortal world.
