Mirkvale is a mining area with little greenery, yet it has an endless supply of pine nuts. Due to the local custom of revereing squirrels, flying squirrels thrive here and often leave "gifts" for the villagers. In return, the folk of the Vale roast the nuts and leave them out for the flying squirrels.
