The healer, a disciple of the Medicinal Hamlet, was once a paid assassin. After being enlightened by his master, he learned the art of medicine and vowed to only save lives, never to take them again. He took in many homeless orphans, cramming them into his quarters to study medicine, and often came to collect the vegetarian meals the cook secretly set aside for them.
