Built in the 2nd year of the Qiande Reign (964 CE), this ornamental imperial garden is divided by the Xian Bridge into northern and southern sections. The Northern Garden borders Jinming Pool, offering views of the pool through a tapestry of flowers. Recently opened to the public, it has become Kaifeng's prime event space for spring outings, flower viewing, poem recitals by the scoreboards, and more.
The Southern Garden features the Banquet Terrace, Archery Hall, and Egret Tower, connected to the north via Fairy Bridge. To the east lies an expansive cherry orchard, making the garden a comprehensive venue for sightseeing, imperial banquets, and recreation.
