To $N,
Your letter has been received. The relevant leads are as follows:
Zhen Sheji, formerly a disciple of the Inkbound Order. For years he was consumed by the writing of storybooks, determined to set down the injustices of the world. Yet his work was too sharp, too close to what was real, and for a long while found no favor with buyers or readers alike.
He lived in straitened circumstances, burdened by debt. In matters of writing he was stubborn to the point of obsession, and often quarreled fiercely with his fellow disciples, both senior and junior. In the end, he left without a word and stormed off in anger.
He was last seen wandering the jianghu, seemingly gathering clues on all sides for an old murder case in Kaifeng. The dead man in that case was called Shen Mo.
(Attached at the end is a barely legible doodle. Er... could it be Big Feng's smiling face?)
