The Silver-Saddle Khitan Regiment was an elite unit formed in Youzhou by Zhao Dejun, the Lulong Governor of the later Tang. Comprised mainly of surrendered Khitan soldiers, they met their end after the Battle of Jin'an Fort. Following Zhao's surrender, Yelu Deguang ordered the execution of the entire contingent.
