Zhang Wanshi was never good with people, but he knew the two of them well enough to sense something was coming. At the heart of Lake of Guilt, he found a tri-colored stone and patiently ground it down into a ring. He thought that if his junior sister and junior brother came by again, he could give it to them.
He was not one for comforting words. He figured that if they saw the ring, they would understand, in their own way, what he meant as their senior brother. When they were young, they had shared a single dream. Even if the world turned harsh and changeable, they would still hold to it together.
