In traditional opera, when a stage performer portrays a military general, they often wear several back flags to display power; in the Masked Troupe opera reforms, this back flag has been passed to the fans in the audience. Vigorously waving it can bring a few wisps of cool breeze to the crowded fan seats, and it can also silently add popularity to the Masked Troupe opera—hence it is called the Music Flag.
