Wang Qing was a warm and jovial man, highly skilled with a blade and held in supreme regard within the sect. Unable to bear the suffering of the common folk, he secretly rallied his fellow disciples to resist the Khitan, while seeking a wise leader to end the turbulence. His actions, however, ran counter to the Well of Heaven sect, and though Shen Hanying tried to dissuade him, Wang Qing traded his blade for a sword, renounced his sect, and joined the army to save his nation. He ultimately fell in the battle of Zhongdu Bridge.
