Refers to mild heatstroke, an acute condition caused by exposure to summer heat. Symptoms may include sudden fainting and loss of consciousness, high fever with restlessness, labored breathing with inability to speak, clenched jaws or dry mouth with teeth bared, profuse sweating or an absence of sweat, and a rapid, weak pulse. Severe cases may lead to persistent coma or limb convulsions.
