(The writing is weak and wavering, as though the writer were badly wounded.)
The roster of Mohist Hill and the academy disciples has already fallen into enemy hands. I seized half a scroll of it from the Khitan Chief and enclose it with this letter.
Though the scroll is incomplete, what remains should be enough for you to reconstruct the rest. Burn the records at the mountain gate at once, and disperse the disciples.
