June 5 During today's test flight, the headwind was so fierce that I couldn't even get it off the ground. Though frustrating, I'll keep working on it. June 15 I tried again with an east wind, but still no luck. Yet I believe in this machine. I have to keep refining. Next time, maybe. June 25 Heavy rain cut today's test short before I could even launch. Disappointed, but I'll keep improving this craft. One day, it will carry me across the sky. July 5 Smooth takeoff today with light winds. Then I hit a tree. Looks like repairs will take a while. Let these failures be the stones that pave the road to success. July 25 I failed again, feeling hopeless and exhausted. August 5 I tore the craft apart and rebuilt it piece by piece. And it worked! In the end, I tumbled to the earth alongside a snapped kite. But that first taste of flight... it was pure magic. August 10 I'm still recovering from the crash. My leg is not healed yet. A kind stranger helped me today. Surely the Goddess is watching, guiding my dream of flight! August 15 I tried again with the rebuilt craft. Same result. What was worse, I even broke my leg this time. I'm in despair. But how can I give up on the dream of flight now?
