The manifestations of Wind-Damp Paralysis Syndrome include rough, thickened skin or persistent soreness of the muscles. It arises from the combined invasion of wind, cold, and damp Qi. When wind and damp predominate and cold is minimal, the condition is classified as Wind-Damp Paralysis. When the body is deficient in Qi and blood, it becomes vulnerable to these external evils. If the illness lingers untreated, the obstruction may penetrate the meridians and settle in the Yang channels, eventually leading to partial paralysis or loss of limb function.
