Legend speaks of a Tang merchant, lost in a sandstorm, who witnessed a miracle: a figure swallowed by a shimmering carp, only to emerge unharmed. They say this figure then danced upon the dunes as if on waves, chasing moonlight with unbridled joy. A madman's tale, perhaps. Yet, not being the fish in the story, how can we be so sure?
