To the west of Mohist City lies the deep chasm of an abyss. When the Mohist migrated eastward during the Han dynasty, they made their home here.
They concealed the rugged mountains with an intricate array of mechanisms known as the "Infinite Mirage Formation," hiding the old city from view. But over the centuries, frequent earthquakes tore through the land, opening a vast, abyss-like sinkhole within the city walls. Fearful that the ground no longer held its stability, the people left the old city behind and built a new one.
I was born and raised in this new city, yet whenever I hear tales of the old, I can't help but feel a profound sense of nostalgia and wonder.
