He barely remembers his old owner, just the scent of fresh grass, and how that man used to whisper beside his ear:
"Everwealth, oh Everwealth.... life's too hard. When will you really bring me fortune?"
One day, Everwealth followed him to the city wall, and watched him walk away without looking back.
"I hope he finds his fortune," said Everwealth, licking his paw and raising his head with pride before turning back to Forsaken Quarter.
