Got another scolding from Senior Brother Wanshi today.
But all I did was use qi to tap the bell at Myriadspan Bridge and let everyone out of class two hours early. Senior Brother is always talking about balance and timing, so how is it he can't see the balance and timing in that?

Received guidance from Grandmaster Osprey and carefully read through the Celestial Calculation drafts from past years.
Using the water-level records from previous years compiled by Senior Brother Wanshi, and running them through the new trial calculation array Grandmaster Osprey set up, I sorted out a whole volume of notes on waterworks estimates. Yesterday I sent it beyond the mountain by wooden eagle. I hope it may be of some help to Senior Brother.

26th Day of the Eighth Month
The things of my younger days now feel like another lifetime. Master is no longer by my side, and yet there is still so much I want to tell him.
First, I followed Master's example and brought back some children from beyond the mountain, and settled them in Foundlings Hall.
Second, Grandmaster Osprey has entrusted part of his work to me, and I've been busy sorting through the arrangement of the calculation arrays.
Third, the arrays have produced a few unusual "time points." When those moments draw near, I'll be able to observe the changes in Heaven and Earth and use them to verify how effective the arrays truly are.
And most important of all: hey, has Master been eating properly? Resting on time? When autumn comes, I must find a chance to go and keep a proper eye on him!
