Dear $N, Another Mid-Autumn Festival has come. How fare you in distant lands? The other day, while organizing prescriptions, I stumbled upon a few old pages stained with ink. Upon closer look, they were copied lessons from years past. One day, you'd gotten into trouble, and Madam Han made you transcribe scriptures as punishment. You were desperate to attend the lantern fair, so you begged Doudou and me to help. The three of us transcribed together and ended up falling asleep, missing the fair entirely, our faces smudged with ink. When we woke at midnight, the Lantern Fair was long over. Only a full moon hung high in the sky. You asked me then: why do adults always stare at that jade plate? I was lost for words and only told you that the moon was prettiest when it was round. Now I know why. It's not the moonlight that delights; it is because those we cherish are by our side. I have no idea where you are right now. Though far away from home, you should take care of yourself. Oh, and don't forget to look up at the moon tonight.
