As a child I watched a splendid steed, And could not keep my joy contained. My heart raced after its distant stride, My thoughts rode off on the long wind-blown mane. Firecrackers rang in the turning year, Carved wood bore blessings fresh and clear. That joyful feeling stays with me, A heart beneath the sky wild and free.
