And if you watch closely, you notice he has other rules.
First: never wag his tail or roll over, showing his belly outside his own bed. Snowcoat is no common dog.
Second: he doesn't like bones. He prefers wild fruit.
Third: no matter how tired, he never pants with his mouth hanging open. That would look undignified.
