Composed by Han Yu and erected in the family temple. Tian Hongzheng was originally a military officer under the Weibo Army but was later proclaimed leader by his soldiers, surrendering six provinces to the imperial court. Yuan Zhen praised him: "Tian Hongzheng was the first to lead the six provinces back to the court, realizing the late emperor's grand strategy and transforming the old customs of Hebei. He abolished harsh laws, promoted kindness, loved his people as his own body, and nurtured his soldiers like his sons. He taught them loyalty and filial piety, so that within one year, the soldiers of Wei knew gratitude; within two, they understood propriety; and by the third, they yielded to one another on the roads. Thus, they campaigned south against Huai and Cai, east against Qing and Qi, and north to pacify Zhao. All these great achievements were born from the Wei army."
