Today, the sacred blade is hung high above the dragon head, with Heaven and Earth as witness, Sun and Moon as oathbearers. A vow is made for thirty years: ten years to expand the realm, ten to nurture the people, and ten to bring lasting peace. Should this vow be broken, may the blade fall, the dragon dethroned, the royal line be cut short by treachery within, as in the tales of old courts. This oath shall not be forsaken, even unto death. Let the Way judge, and let the ages bear witness!
