Stone Ram Bastion was named after the ancient Shiyang River. The princess built canals and dams to gather Han and Wusun artisans, channeling snowmelt from the mountains, clearing the Jade Pool and Wine Spring.
When quicksand blocked the way, the princess surveyed with the artisans for seven sleepless days to discover the ancient Shiyang River course.
To monitor water and protect the canal, artisans built the Stone Ram Bastion and erected a stele to record.
Mutun came back and destroyed the bastion. Only that broken stele remains, recording the princess's great deeds of yesteryear.
