Also known as Red Dysentery, this condition refers to a type of dysentery marked by bloody stool or the passing of pure blood. It is typically caused by heat toxins invading the blood. Symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, tenesmus, and red-white pus-laden blood in the stool. In acute cases, chills and fever may accompany the onset. Chronic cases tend to recur and are difficult to treat.
