E'Feng was another temple cat brought back by a Daoist.
He was named for his teeth—sharp as a blade.
Maybe too sharp... The Daoists once debated whether E'Feng was truly a cat, or one of the mythical beasts from ancient texts.
He once spent time in the Hanlin Academy. Didn't read many classics, but sure heard his fill of gossip and tales.
These Daoists aren't nearly as knowledgeable as the scholars.
And by the way, he poops just fine. No need to worry about "things that go in but never come out."
