Meng Sheng died, and one hundred and eighty disciples died with him.
Before his death, he sent three men to deliver his final charge to Tian Xiangzi. After they had done so, they meant to return to Jing and follow their master in death. Tian Xiangzi tried to stop them: "Meng Sheng has passed the title of Grandmaster to me. You should heed my words." They would not. In the end, they went back and died as they intended.
