Yellow sand fills the sky, and the journey is arduous. You press on through the endless sea of dunes beyond Jade Gate Pass. Parched and faint with thirst, you come to the shaded side of a dune, where you find an old, dry well. The well is wide enough for a person to descend. You remember this place. Once, you helped the well-digger of Horsehelm Village recover an oil lamp from the depths below. At this moment, the faint murmur of water and human voices echoes from within the well. You decide to... [Take a look, for there are people below.] You cautiously follow the underground passage and spot a campfire. Several workers are here, using sand shovels to clear and reinforce the waterway. At the sight of you, they greet you warmly and hand you a bowl of water. Following the underground watercourse, you come upon a makeshift refuge. The people here speak to you with pride of Horsehelm Village's past, of the might of the Anxi Army's watering grounds, of the generations of well-diggers' efforts, and of the help once given by a wanderer... You know this is only a dream, yet you still believe that as long as that oil lamp burns, clear spring water will forever flow beneath, and human hope will never run dry. "How does the water remain so clear? Only because, through countless generations, lamp-bearers will come."
