Grand Imperial Temple was once named Jianguo Temple, founded in the sixth year of Tianbao under the Northern Qi. In the first year of Yanhe, Emperor Ruizong of Tang renamed it to commemorate his rise from Prince Xiang to the throne.
Over the centuries, it has endured countless storms. Destroyed multiple times, and its monks persecuted.
Yet it still stands in Kaifeng today, its sacred music echoing through the ages.
