Time froze here. Few people knew that what she feared most was the cold. Perhaps she had known too much warmth in this life. Those who waited for her were always willing to leave a lantern burning; no matter how heavy the night dew grew, she never felt the chill. ...Until this place was reduced to ruins, and she failed too many of those who had waited. No matter how cold it became, she had to travel alone through the bone-chilling flow of time. She had to return to the past, to every day she had missed. Amidst the shifting shadows, she seemed to catch glimpses of the people she could not let go of. Oh, world, why can we not return to the very beginning?
