They say a cat brings poverty and a dog brings wealth. An oil-paper umbrella shop got a dog who just wouldn't leave. Zhuang Hongming was overjoyed; surely this was a good omen! Business would boom, and he would make a fortune. Years have passed. Business is steady, but he hasn't gotten rich. Eventually, he figures it out. Riches probably stays because he likes hiding behind the oil-paper umbrellas. Zhuang Hongming makes peace with it: when there are customers, he quietly makes umbrellas; when there are none, he crouches down and plays hide-and-seek with Riches. A peaceful, happy life, that's its own blessing. Rich or not, it doesn't matter. Being blessed is enough.
