How beautiful this place should have been. She truly wished the ground were covered in red maple leaves. But reality left her with nothing but blood-stained armor scattered across the earth. Standing all alone upon this scorched earth, for a fleeting moment, she genuinely doubted: Does the Haven sought by the Mohist Hill truly exist in this world? If one seeks it, can it actually be found? And even if it is, by then, will there be anyone left to share in the joy? Human lives felt as fragile as withered leaves, unable to even survive the autumn. A quiet, lonely chill crept into her otherwise unyielding heart. Master once told her that life is like the four seasons, and autumn is always the shortest. No matter how bitter, it will always pass swiftly. She raised her head and gazed toward a place thousands of miles away, wondering what autumn must look like in the Hidden Mountain. Were they, at this very moment, standing beneath real red maples, waiting for her just as they always did? With that thought, she felt she could endure this autumn after all.
