October 29: Didn't get anything done yesterday and stayed up late. Feeling drained today, I'll take a day to rest. First day in winter: These old pedants are total hacks, making life difficult for no reason. Studying the classics is about the spirit. Why obsess over every single word? I just swapped "The Four Sovereigns" for "The Four Departed." The point remains the same! Why force a rewrite over such a trifle? Second day in winter: New examiner today? Same old nonsense. Why the hassle? Third day in winter: Third day of retakes. My back's stiff, my seat sore. Even the examiner seems dazed. This mutual torture, let's see who breaks first. Fourth day in winter: Finally passed. I oddly feel sorry for the old examiner, though I can't recall his name. They all look the same in the Heavencraft Pavilion. No big deal since we won't meet again.
