Returned to the mountain. Having been away for several years, my old quarters had already been given to my disciple.
With no other choice, I lodged with Senior Brother Guan Shanyue for more than a hundred days. This kindness must be remembered.
15th Day of the Eighth Month, 925 CE
Returned to the mountain. Senior Brother Guan Shanyue had just married, and it would not have been proper to trouble him, so I was fortunate enough to stay with Senior Brother Zi'an.
Senior Brother is fond of singing, though sadly he has no ear for pitch. I moved out after ten days. Even so, his kindness must be remembered.

Returned to the mountain. Stayed in Junior Brother Chuan Jin's quarters.
My junior brother showed me deep generosity. There was only a single bed in the room, so the two of us shared it. This kindness of half a bed must... be remembered.
