"Golden Thread Robe," also known as "The Thousand Gold Maiden," was a melody popular in the mid-Tang period. Du Mu's poem states: "Du Qiu, a woman of Jinling, at fifteen became concubine to Li Qi. After Li Qi's rebellion was crushed, she was registered in the palace, favored by Emperor Jingling... Later, Qiu was granted a return to her homeland. Passing Jinling, moved by her poverty and age, I wrote this poem for her... Qiu, holding a jade cup, drunk, sang the 'Golden Thread Robe'."
