Red-faced beggar, ninety-nine. When yang reaches its peak, yin opens the ghost gate. (Note from Master Pu: Ferryman does not appear directly. First find the contact, a #Mred-faced Little Beggar. He is on the right side after entering the main gate. Give him ninety-nine coins, and he will tell you the clues.) Four directions as signs, the watchman's beat marks the code, echoes as responses, thus the Ferryman appears. (Note from Master Pu: This explains how to interpret the Little Beggar's words. The "Four Directions" refer to the ferryman's position, the number of "watch beats" is #Mthe number of knocks, and the remaining words form the passphrase to exchange with the ferryman.) Nether Crossing, the price is never the same. One boat, one passenger. Let the living take heed. (Note from Master Pu: The Ferryman will give those seeking passage his desired #M"price". The "price" is not necessarily money, so simply follow his instructions. Also, you must go alone to meet the Ferryman; be sure to remember this.)
