Bai Juyi, Tang Dynasty
Does the earth know this heart I conceal?
White-haired and mourning, time won't heal.
In aged years, my tears flow free,
Leaving stains on your poetry.
Thirty scrolls of cherished voice,
Each word treasured, still my choice.
Though your bones lie underground,
Your name in honor will resound.
