Qiu Yuehai, a man from the lands of Jin, was famed for his mastery of the twelve-foot spear. With lightness skill and peerless technique, he could leap as though treading among the stars; his spear tip seemed fit to challenge even the mighty Kunpeng. Those who saw his heroic bearing called him a true champion among men. It was said at the time: "We may not see Liezi riding the wind, but in Lord Qiu's soaring dance, he seems to grasp the sun and moon themselves!"
I once heard that, beneath an ancient tree in Qinghe, a dozen wine jars were arranged like stars in the sky. A hero passed among them with a spear in hand—moving so swiftly, not a single drop of wine was spilled, nor did a flower petal stir in the breeze. People called him the Wine Jar Celestial.
