Prostrating: The Emperor's grace spreads far and wide, and all directions return their hearts. Now, Lu Gui and ten others, capturing and commanding officers from the Northern Han, admire our Great Song's virtue and have come to surrender. Their sincerity is commendable.
We observe that they are familiar with military affairs and are suitable for appointment. We respectfully submit that we plan to jointly appoint them as Inner Palace Guards, to manifest the Emperor's benevolent rule and attract ambitious people from across the land. Whether this proposal is appropriate, we dare not decide arbitrarily. We beg the Emperor's wise judgment.
